HP Omen Obelisk | existent Questions and Pass4sure dumps

just a number of motor vehicle lengths returned within the rearview replicate, the day gone by's 4K-in a position gaming pc was a gargantuan semi-truck of a computer tower loaded with multiple snap shots playing cards. The HP Omen Obelisk (begins at $919.99; $2,423 as proven), a compact MicroATX-primarily based gaming computing device, allows you to zoom faraway from that rig and under no circumstances gawk back. It packs total the energy you should sprint the latest AAA titles. A handsome, compact tower with awesome gaming efficiency, the Obelisk offers a lofty flush of excellent and simple upgrades. simplest the processor air-cooling of their gawk at various unit and its just a limited precipitous expense gave us 2nd suggestions. They create fresh options from Corsair and MSI a bit of greater compelling.

light It Up in RGB trend

a piece of HP's top rate Omen sub-manufacturer, an offshoot of its acquisition of boutique vendor Voodoo computing device a long time back, the Omen Obelisk may likewise live factory-personalized together with your option of AMD or Intel processors and Nvidia pix cards. starting in March 2019, it will live attainable with Intel's flagship Core i7-9700K and Core i9-9900K eight-core processors, liquid-cooled, for a starting expense of $2,249. For now, though, the Core i7-8700-equipped mannequin i'm reviewing here, paired with a GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card, has no hindrance riding a 4K monitor.

The construct excellent of the Omen Obelisk is some thing i'd await from a premium aftermarket computing device. The metallic facet and amend panels give the case a high-quality reckon that you simply don't score with plastic designs.

The Obelisk sits someplace between a small-kind-ingredient (SFF) tower and a mid-tower, at 17.1 with the aid of 6.5 via 15.5 inches (HWD). Its incredibly brief height means it should not shroud your view in case you reserve it on accurate of a desk. or not it's arduous to head smaller than this with out encroaching on serviceability or expansion skill. This Obelisk test unit weighs 22 pounds.

the complete-view tempered-glass aspect panel and indoors RGB lights set it off from a distance...

The case indoors and the Omen logo on the entrance are sunder lighting fixtures zones. that you would live able to change their patterns and colors, or revolve the lighting fixtures off, in the preinstalled Omen Command headquarters application...

I discovered the software fundamental adequate. I specifically like that diverse lighting fixtures profiles may likewise live assigned when the laptop goes to sleep. you could shop your preferences in four profiles.

The entrance-panel port choice is fair, comprising a USB type-A three.0 port with sleep-and-cost capacity, a 2nd USB type-A 3.0 port, and headset and microphone jacks. or not it's unlucky that the Obelisk lacks a media card reader.

On the opposite end, the motherboard contains five USB type-A ports (4 are version 3.0, while the uppermost one is edition 3.1), a USB classification-C 3.1 port, and an Ethernet jack, as well as headphone, line-in, and line-out audio jacks.

be cognizant that you don't score breakout ports for surround-sound speakers or an S/PDIF optical output. Internally, the Obelisk has a Realtek 802.11ac instant card and Bluetooth four.2.

handy-entry Insides

disposing of the left side panel is effortless: simply press the liberate button on the again of the tower, and the panel angles to the facet after which away. It clicks effectively lower back in place, a testomony to the case's exacting construct quality.

A 9.5-through-9.5-inch MicroATX motherboard dominates the case indoors. The diminutive processor air cooler at its core looks out of region during this otherwise high-tech scene. HP plans to offer liquid cooling on Omen Obelisk models geared up with a Core i7-9700K or Core i9-9900K processor. i'd live tempted to fork over the extra cash for appears on my own; displaying off a stock Intel cooling setup is never the most trustworthy exhaust of a case window. (See their preview of the liquid-cooled Obelisk from CES 2019.)

next to the CPU cooler are two DIMM slots for DDR4-2666 reminiscence. The premium Kingston HyperX-brand reminiscence proven here is, specially, universal within the Obelisk. It gives the interior an aftermarket contact...

the dual-16GB-DIMM, dual-channel setup (for 32GB total) is the optimum this Obelisk mannequin supports. Obelisk models outfitted with the Core i7-9700K and Core i9-9900K processors will recreation 4 DIMM slots, supporting up to 64GB of reminiscence in a 4-16GB-DIMM configuration.

The motherboard has a single M.2 type-2280 (80mm) slot for SSD storage. Their examine unit has an SK Hynix-manufacturer 512GB PCI specific pressure, partly visible above subsequent to the DIMMs. it could had been fine to peer a heat spreader on properly.

The Obelisk's other storage is available in the type of two three.5-inch bays, arrayed vertically behind the front panel. each absorb pinch-to-slide-out caddies and require no tackle to set up a power. A 1TB drive is reserve in in the higher bay of this assessment unit. A second vigour connector is nearby by if you requisite to set up yet another force, but you'll deserve to give your personal SATA cable. you can personalize the Obelisk with drives in neither, one, or each bays.

So a whole lot for the storage. the ten.5-inch-long GeForce RTX 2080 photographs card is inconceivable to omit...

A a lot-liked usher bracket on its conclusion makes it gawk even longer. the card's blower-trend cooler sends air out the again of the case. under it's the vigour supply, a 500-watt eighty Plus Bronze-rated unit in their test configuration. or not it's a required upgrade from the bottom 300-watt model if you elect on the GeForce RTX 2080 pics card. i would recommend the improve regardless, because it gives you headroom for future pix-card upgrades.

The vigour provide isn't modular, so there are unused, tied-off cables total over the case interior. The wiring may well live greater concise in standard. it's a aid that the cables, just like the comfort of the case interior, are blacked-out to conceal the repercussion a bit of. The bottom-hooked up nature of the vigor give capacity you won't absorb a power cable dangling from the accurate of the tower. In entrance of the energy deliver is a detachable and washable air filter, a function I always want to see...

The filter is cleverly secured by magnets. Air pulled via it's extracted by the lone 80mm case fan at the rear of the tower.

Omen Peripherals

The Omen Obelisk contains a fundamental wired keyboard and mouse, however that you could improve to HP's premium models for a matched adventure. (observe the prices of here peripherals aren't factored into the expense of their Obelisk evaluate unit.)

Omen Sequencer Keyboard

The Omen Sequencer ($179; on sale for $149 at this writing) is HP's flagship gaming keyboard. Its uses what HP calls optical-mechanical blue switches for a sooner response time than a traditional mechanical keyboard.

I didn't note a incompatibility in that respect subsequent to different keyboards i exploit in observe, but the Sequencer's mechanical switches attain absorb wonderfully tactile comments. believe your self informed: The clicks and clacks emanating out of your keystrokes should live heard with the aid of total inside earshot.

The keys are uncovered above the brushed-aluminum keyboard deck for an ultramodern look...

The per-key backlighting swimming pools beneath each key to raise the impact, now not to mention that this design makes the keyboard less complicated to clear. The backlighting is configurable in the Omen control headquarters utility, which retailers 4 profiles. The metal constitution of the Sequencer contributes to its hefty 2.5-pound weight.

The keyboard has one USB port built into the accurate left nook, although it lacks a headphone or a microphone jack. The 6.5-foot braided cable is overly thick to the factor where it's tough to bend. The cable isn't removable.

physical quantity controls are whatever thing I by no means jade of seeing, so the huge metallic roller at the precise commandeer of the Sequencer is a accurate deal with...

It out-Corsairs Corsair's identical rollers, and its weighty suppose and textured metallic floor figure it a cinch to carry or dwindle the extent as immediately as you desire. there's a mute button to its left, and 4 media-playback keys prevaricate just under.

5 macro keys line the left fringe of the keyboard. The macro editor within the Omen control core software permits you to assign shortcut, multi-key, application launch, or text shortcuts. For multi-key shortcuts, you could manage the detain between the keystrokes...

The application doesn't assist you to remap other keys besides the five macros, which is unfortunate, as i would absorb used it to amend the one design deficiency on this keyboard: the substitute of the home key with an Omen key, which launches the Omen control center.

expensive as it can be, the Omen Sequencer is a manageable elect on for a excellent-end gaming keyboard, and an outstanding acclaim to the Obelisk. Its utility is rarely as utterly-featured as you'll score from Corsair or SteelSeries, however its other aspects greater than match up.

Omen Reactor Mouse

The Omen Reactor ($84; on sale for $64 at this writing) is an optical gaming mouse. or not it's for right-handers only; the thumb ledge on its left aspect signals that.

All six buttons are programmable in the Omen control headquarters utility. I discovered both on the left facet within effortless thumb attain. The DPI button between the left- and appropriate-click on buttons increments anyplace from 800dpi to modern day ordinary excessive-conclusion-mouse height of sixteen,000dpi...

The Omen exploit headquarters likewise means that you can configure the Reactor's two RGB lighting zones. One abnormal feature of this mouse is its adjustable-height palm rest. you could slide the switch on the perquisite facet and attitude it to your liking.

I did not like the Reactor's different engaging characteristic, its metal-sheathed cable, quite as a fine deal. It looks miraculous, to figure certain. however I needed to ensure that too tons of the cable didn't hunch over the fringe of my desk, or it tended to add resistance and generally pull the mouse in that route as a result of the cable's sheer weight.

moreover, the cable made a earsplitting sound dragging across the floor of my desk. The upside of this cable design is that it at total times lies flat and doesn't tangle. If it solves complications for you, it could well live worth the trade-offs.

Omen Mindframe Headset

The Omen Mindframe ($199; on sale for $149 at this writing) is a excessive-conclusion gaming headset with what HP says is an international first: vigorous earcup cooling. Thermoelectric coolers inner the earcups relax the aluminum speaker grilles.

The earcup coolness is a just a limited disorienting feeling. while nothing that corporal touches your ears is bloodless, that you would live able to inform the earcups absorb a delicate, fridge-like atmosphere. The speaker grille is certainly artic to the contact.

or not it's a fab know-how in additional methods than one. i'm no longer inevitable if i would miss it had been it no longer there, but I certain attain not intellect having it. The cooling can live adjusted or turned off within the Omen control middle application...

From a sound-great standpoint, the Mindframe is purely a gaming headset. Its digital 7.1 compass know-how emphasizes distance exceptionally, so that you can relate if sounds are coming from nearby or far. that is effectual in games, less so in track. For non-gaming purposes, I discovered the Mindframe's sound to live hollow and far away. it's no longer an apples-to-apples competitor, however the Bose Soundlink II supplies sophisticated sound pleasant for identical cash.

In proper gaming fashion, the Mindframe has RGB lighting on every earcup. collectively, the lights on the earcups comprehend one lighting fixtures zone for which which you can adjust shades and patterns in the Omen Command center.

The flip-to-mute microphone worked very smartly in my checking out. For regular audio conferencing, I did not like how the earcups, whereas not entirely separating, didn't allow me to hear my own voice. On the contrary, I create the isolation helped to drown out historical past noise. I likewise create the physical quantity curler behind the amend earcup to live a nifty convenience feature that I wish regarded on greater headsets.

A self-adjusting scarf helps to dispense the Mindframe's no longer-insignificant weight throughout your head. it'll depart your hair pushed down in that spot, so people will recognize you absorb got been donning a headset if you absorb any type of a 'do. The moisture-wicking cloth masking the earcups changed into at ease for a lot of hours.

4K-ready Gaming efficiency

ok, satisfactory of the side bits...on to trying out!

This Omen Obelisk configuration handy (in particular, mannequin 875-0030qd) is a built-to-order one. manufacturing unit customization is one in every of HP's strengths; rivals, like Lenovo, typically present handiest fastened configurations. Their $2,423 Obelisk configuration comprises a Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor, the current perquisite alternative; an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 pics card, 32GB of memory, a 512GB SSD for primary storage, in addition to a secondary 1TB tough pressure. it's covered with a one-year confined assurance.

The Core i7-8700 has six processing cores and as much as a 4.6GHz rapid expand frequency to figure brief travail of essentially any project. The chip has a thermal design energy of sixty five watts, putting its performance between the forty five-watt Intel chips customarily present in gaming notebooks, and the beefier ninety one-watt chips like the Core i7-9700K and Core i9-9900K that HP plans to present in the Obelisk.

The expense-to-efficiency outlook of their Omen Obelisk configuration is rarely nearly as fine as that you would live able to score from the Lenovo Legion T730 Tower. It offered a Core i9-9900K processor and the identical pictures card as their Obelisk for $2,039 at this writing, albeit with half the remembrance (16GB) and SSD storage (256GB). The more compact MSI Trident X additionally presents a Core i9-9900K for equivalent money, notwithstanding with half the remembrance (16GB). Then once more, HP is established to absorb earnings, and i suspect the Obelisk may live reasonably priced when it's purchasable with the more recent 9th technology Intel chips.

I in comparison the Omen Obelisk 875-0030qd to those gaming desktops in their evaluation charts:

The Corsair Vengeance Gaming computing device 5180 shares a nearly identical loadout with their Omen Obelisk. meanwhile, the Overpowered Gaming computer (DTW3) should operate in a similar way, outfitted with a last-technology GeForce GTX 1080 Ti photos card this is roughly reminiscent of the GeForce RTX 2080 in the Obelisk. The MSI Trident X, powered by using Intel's Core i9-9900K eight-core flagship, will outclass them all. last, I covered the Lenovo Legion C730 dice for a course of scale; it live half as costly as their Obelisk normally because it has a mid-stage GeForce GTX 1060 images card.

productivity, Storage, and Media checks PCMark 10 (productiveness examine) and PCMark eight (Storage examine)

PCMark 10 and 8 are holistic performance suites developed via the laptop benchmark specialists at UL (previously Futuremark). The PCMark 10 test they sprint simulates different actual-world productivity and content-advent workflows. They exhaust it to examine traditional system performance for workplace-centric initiatives such as notice processing, spreadsheeting, net shopping, and videoconferencing. The check generates a proprietary numeric score; higher numbers are improved.

PCMark eight, meanwhile has a Storage subtest that they exhaust to determine the accelerate of the storage subsystem. This score is additionally a proprietary numeric ranking; again, better numbers are more suitable.

The Omen Obelisk is third within the lineup with a superb rating. it live a smidge off the Corsair Vengeance Gaming workstation 5180, which, regardless of sharing the equal Core i7-8700 processor, may likewise had been in a position to maintain greater CPU clocks on account of its liquid cooling. The Core i9-9900K chip in the MSI Trident X predictably reserve it out front.

Cinebench R15

subsequent is Maxon's CPU-crunching Cinebench R15 check, which is totally threaded to figure exhaust of total attainable processor cores and threads. Cinebench stresses the CPU instead of the GPU to render a involved photograph. The effect is a proprietary ranking indicating a computer's suitability for processor-intensive workloads.

The Obelisk scored nearby to the Corsair Vengeance computer 5180 and Overpowered Gaming desktop (DTW3) fashions, total three sharing the identical Core i7-8700 processor. As this check takes under a minute to sprint on effectual PCs like these, the Obelisk was additionally capable of rating near the bigger-wattage Core i7-8700K in the Lenovo Legion C730 dice. For longer CPU-dependent initiatives, the Core i7-8700 would tumble behind because its vigour barriers allow it to maintain its faster expand clocks only for brief stints.

Photoshop CC

We likewise sprint a custom Adobe Photoshop image-enhancing benchmark. the usage of an early 2018 release of the creative Cloud version of Photoshop, they exercise a progression of 10 advanced filters and results to a typical JPEG gawk at various graphic. They time each operation and, on the conclusion, add up the entire execution time. As with Handbrake, reduce times are superior perquisite here. The Photoshop check stresses CPU, storage subsystem, and RAM, nevertheless it can additionally select capabilities of most GPUs to pace up the procedure of making exhaust of filters, so methods with powerful portraits chips or playing cards may additionally remark a lift.

although technically in closing region, the Omen Obelisk has nothing to live ashamed of; a time of 148 seconds shows it would serve just excellent as a photo-editing platform. The considerable 32GB of remembrance in their examine unit is ultimate for tasks like this.

graphics tests 3DMark Sky Diver and fire Strike

3DMark measures relative images muscle with the aid of rendering sequences of enormously special, gaming-fashion 3D images that emphasize particles and lights. They sprint two diverse 3DMark subtests, Sky Diver and fireplace Strike, which are ideal to various kinds of systems. each are DirectX eleven benchmarks, but Sky Diver is more desirable to laptops and midrange PCs, while hearth Strike is more traumatic and made for high-conclusion PCs to swagger their stuff. The outcomes are proprietary ratings.

The demanding hearth Strike test indicates the Omen Obelisk at a minor drawback next to the Corsair Vengeance Gaming computer 5180, regardless of sharing the equal processor and graphics card. As i discussed, the liquid cooling in the Corsair desktop may additionally absorb helped its performance. meanwhile, the Core i9-9900K processor in the MSI Trident X persisted to figure it uncatchable among this lot.

Unigine Superposition

next up is a different synthetic images test, this time from Unigine Corp. like 3DMark, the Superposition test renders and pans via an in depth 3D scene and measures how the device copes. in this case, it's rendered in the enterprise's eponymous Unigine engine, offering a several 3D workload scenario than 3DMark, for a 2d conviction on the desktop's graphical prowess. They existing two Superposition effects, sprint at the 720p Low and 1080p lofty presets.

The numbers on the 1080p excessive surroundings mirror what they saw within the 3DMark gawk at various, with the Omen Obelisk a limited in the back of, however not to a degree that could live mighty in true-world purposes. The GeForce GTX 1060 within the Lenovo Legion C730 dice is absolutely outclassed perquisite here, however its GPU is below half as expensive as the GeForce RTX 2080 within the Obelisk.

actual-World Gaming tests a long course weep 5 and upward shove of the Tomb Raider

The synthetic exams above are positive for measuring everyday 3D aptitude, but it surely's complicated to beat plenary retail video games for judging gaming performance. a ways weep 5 and upward shove of the Tomb Raider are both up to date, excessive-fidelity titles with developed-in benchmarks that illustrate how a gadget handles precise-world video video games at quite a few settings.

These are sprint on the highest snap shots-satisfactory presets (ultra for far weep 5, Very excessive for upward thrust of the Tomb Raider) at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K resolutions to investigate the candy spot of visuals and smooth efficiency for a given device. The outcomes are additionally offered in frames per 2nd. some distance weep 5 is DirectX 11-based, while ascend of the Tomb Raider can likewise live flipped to DX12, which they attain for the benchmark.

it live an in depth race among the many main gadgets, as the 3DMark exams foreshadowed. The Omen Obelisk is closing in that group, but through a margin that narrows because the conclusion raises. The very powerful Core i9-9900K in the MSI Trident X would not give it a astronomical skills over the HP at 4K, where the pictures card is the bottleneck.

doubtless, although, the Omen Obelisk has 4K-important numbers. maintain on with the GeForce RTX 2080 if you device to video game at that decision.

general Thermals

The pedestrian gawk of the CPU air cooler in their Obelisk assessment unit is, fortunately, misleading. It stored the Core i7-8700 CPU to the mid-70-diploma C latitude beneath their stress assessments, which is more than suitable. it would had been nice if HP made an upgraded air cooler accessible in the Obelisk, or stronger yet, an option for liquid cooling while not having to score one of the vital properly CPU selections.

The GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card reached 85 degrees C beneath gaming workloads. it truly is high, when you reckon that Nvidia charges the GPU for 88 degrees C, however it truly is unconcerned performance for a blower-style cooler. (I noticed similar thermals from the blower-fashion coolers on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 10-series Founders version graphics playing cards.)

The collective sound from the vigorous fanatics in the Obelisk could absorb been quieter. Fan whine is never present, but motor clamor is, and it's audible over gentle historical past clamor beneath plenary load. putting on a pair of closed headphones or using qualify speaker extent is enough to drown it out.

RTX Exclusivity Comes at a cost

The HP Omen Obelisk is a fresh choice amongst mass-market gaming desktops. top rate points like a vogue designer case, multi-zone RGB lighting, a tempered-glass facet panel, and removable filth filters provide it that aftermarket vibe it really is so commonly lacking among gaming PCs from the mainstream makers.

This Obelisk additionally earns lofty marks for balancing its compact design with conclusion-user serviceability. despite being smaller than the traditional mid-tower, nothing internal is proprietary; its accessories can likewise live comfortably swapped for aftermarket versions.

The Obelisk model they reviewed become lofty priced for its flush of add-ons. Competing machines just like the Lenovo Legion T730 Tower bring greater CPU vigour for the cash however path the Obelisk in different areas. The Obelisk faces its stiffest competition from aftermarket consultants and DIY notebook builders.

actually, it is going to live challenging to in shape the Obelisk's feature set without taking one of those paths. once or not it's accessible with Intel's 9th technology Core processors and liquid cooling, they are going to live smitten. For now, we're assured that most buyers could live joyful with this computing device, however may live more interested by the gawk and loadout of the Corsair Vengeance mentioned past, or on the space brand downs of the MSI Trident X.

HP Omen Obelisk

bottom line: HP's Omen Obelisk gaming laptop impresses with its boutique-inspired design and contours, but hunt one with liquid cooling for the ultimate performance.

HP’s current Nvidia-powered backpack VR computing device is designed for work, now not play | existent Questions and Pass4sure dumps

HP has a brand current entrant in that most snoopy laptop niche – the backpack computer. A product of the digital truth computing wave, the backpack pc offers total of the vigour mandatory to power superb VR headsets like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, however with a kindly constituent that allows for the person to roam about untethered. the brand current HP Z VR Backpack is a limited diverse from the comfort of the container, although, for the judgement that it’s designed specially as a workstation.

The HP Z carries an Nvidia Quadro P5200 GPU, and it’s the first time the cell notebook-category portraits card has been utilized in a VR backpack so far. The complete outfit weighs in at 10 lbs, and the GPU’s capabilities allow it to sprint advanced simulations and naturally vigour properly-end VR experiences, total delivered with cordless efficiency thanks to a developed-in battery.

HP is looking to birth delivery the Z VR in September, with a starting rate of $3,299 and further alternate options available for extra can charge. It’s likewise getting a associate dock that permits you to exhaust it greater like a traditional laptop for these instances if you don’t deserve to live roaming around immersed in digital environments.

This whole thing might sound like a bit of of a boondoggle, but one of the most exciting expertise exhaust cases for VR is truly in engineering and design, where the skill to prototype well-nigh and figure adjustments earlier than developing full-scale physical fashions can shop loads of time and energy. companies like Lucid, which is hoping to deliver a Tesla model S competitor to market, are already demonstrating how VR can assist lop down on pre-production rate.

The Z VR would likewise live constructive for job training, HP suggests, and for fields like telemedicine and even trade VR event facilities. It’s probably noiseless going to live fairly zone of interest, but HP is obviously hoping that zone of interest expands over time as VR turns into extra common across industries.

The long, gradual demise of industrial Unix | existent Questions and Pass4sure dumps

within the Nineties and well into the 2000s, in case you had mission-important functions that required zero downtime, resiliency, failover and lofty performance, however didn’t requisite a mainframe, Unix turned into your go-to solution.

in case your database, ERP, HR, payroll, accounting, and other line-of-company apps weren’t sprint on a mainframe, chances are lofty they ran on Unix systems from 4 preponderant carriers: sun Microsystems, HP, IBM and SGI. every had its own tang of Unix and its personal custom RISC processor. Servers operating an x86 chip absorb been at finest used for file and print or perhaps low-end departmental servers.

these days it’s a x86 and Linux world, with some windows Server presence. well-nigh each supercomputer on the top 500 listing runs some tang of Linux and an x86 processor. SGI is lengthy long past. solar lived on for ages via Oracle, however in 2018 Oracle eventually gave up. HP trade only ships a brace of Unix servers a year, primarily as upgrades to present valued clientele with historic techniques. handiest IBM is noiseless in the online game, providing current programs and advances in its AIX working gadget.

We aren’t going to dwell on how they got here. in its place, here's a gawk at where trade Unix goes, and the course and when it's going to finally die. (note: We're specially speakme in regards to the decline of commercial Unix. nevertheless flourishing are the free and open-source variations similar to FreeBSD, which turned into born out of the Berkeley utility construction (BSD) undertaking at the school of California, Berkeley, and GNU.)

Unix's gradual decline

Unix’s decline is “extra of an artifact of the want of marketing enchantment than it is the want of any presence,” says Joshua Greenbaum, most essential analyst with commercial enterprise functions Consulting. “nobody markets Unix from now on, it’s type of a dead term. It’s nevertheless round, it’s just now not developed around anyone’s approach for top-conclusion innovation. There isn't any future, and it’s now not as a result of there’s anything else innately wrong with it, it’s just that anything else ingenious goes to the cloud.”

“The UNIX market is in inexorable decline,” says Daniel Bowers, research director for infrastructure and operations at Gartner. “simplest 1 in eighty five servers deployed this yr makes exhaust of Solaris, HP-UX, or AIX. Most purposes on Unix that may likewise live easily ported to Linux or home windows absorb definitely already been moved.”

Most of what is noiseless on Unix these days are customized, mission-essential workloads in fields comparable to fiscal features and healthcare. because those apps are lofty priced and risky emigrate or rewrite, Bowers expects a protracted-tail decline in Unix that may final 20 years. “As a practicable working gadget, it’s acquired at least 10 years because there’s this lengthy tail. Even two decades from now, people will nevertheless requisite to sprint it,” he says.

Gartner tracks the decline of current Unix earnings.

Gartner doesn’t tune install base, just current revenue, and the vogue is down. In Q1 of 2014, Unix earnings totaled $1.6 billion. via Q1 of 2018, sales were at $593 million. in terms of instruments, Unix income are low, however they are almost always in the variety of excessive-conclusion, heavily decked-out servers which are much larger than your accustomed two-socket x86 server.

IBM the final UNIX man standing

It’s surprising how tight-lipped americans are over the situation of Unix. Oracle and HPE declined to comment, as did several IBM clients. IBM is noiseless within the video game, however Bowers notes, “I remark IBM investing $34 billion in purple Hat, however I don’t remark IBM investing $34 billion in AIX.”

Steve Sibley, vp of cognitive systems offerings at IBM, acknowledges the evident but says IBM will nevertheless absorb a substantial variety of consumers on AIX in ten years, with the majority of shoppers being significant Fortune 500 customers. He adds that there'll likewise live a tough variety of midrange purchasers in many ways “as a result of they don’t are looking to expend the investment to score off AIX.”

Rob McNelly, senior AIX options architect at Meridian IT, a functions company and massive AIX consumer, says there's an 80/20 rule for brand spanking current functions for AIX: eighty% of purchasers don’t grow their AIX footprint, but 20% stays and expands in AIX.

“as a result of 20% is the larger trade techniques, it is a extremely astronomical segment. In healthcare, many tough tier 1 production environments proceed to invest and delightin the equilibrium and safety of AIX. dependent and embedded ERP techniques attain likewise in any respect layers,” McNelly says.

VW unveils a current electric plug-in SUV: T-Prime Concept GTE – Beijing Auto panoply [Gallery] | existent questions and Pass4sure dumps

High-tech full-size SUV concept shows current Volkswagen approach to premium SUV segment

Beijing, China – Volkswagen debuted the T-Prime Concept GTE in a world premiere at Auto China 2016 in Beijing today. The concept car previews the future Volkswagen SUV. The T-Prime Concept GTE is a full-size sport utility vehicle with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and all-wheel drive. Volkswagen’s current Curved Interaction zone is a completely current digital panoply and control concept. The innovative curved infotainment panoply merges with the interactive displays and controls, resulting in a current human-machine interface (HMI) that is intuitive, precise, and fun-to-use. This SUV panoply car combines the best of many automotive worlds: the solace and spaciousness of a saloon, the superior traction of an off-road vehicle, the agility of a sport sedan and—thanks to innovative drive technologies—the efficiency of a compact car.

In the future, Volkswagen wants to offer an exciting SUV in every relevant market segment. The product campaign starts this Spring with the global market launch of the current Tiguan which will likewise live offered with an extended wheelbase in inevitable markets. Following in car classes above it are a current mid-size SUV (for the USA and China), the successful Touareg and a vehicle in the style of the T-Prime Concept GTE. Beneath the Tiguan, two current SUV model progression will figure their debut simultaneously: in the Golf class, there will live an SUV inspired by the T-Roc concept, and the T-Cross snap that was presented in Geneva shows the direction that will live taken in the Polo class (SUV).

SUVs are booming worldwide, and this is especially accurate in the segment of the large C-SUVs to which the T-Prime Concept GTE belongs. Forecasts for China foretell 18 percent growth between 2017 and 2023; in Europe and Russia growth might even compass 26 percent. Around the globe, annual volume of the exclusive SUVs will compass the milestone of two million unit sales around 2020. With the current T-Prime Concept GTE, Volkswagen is now responding to this trend by introducing one of the most advanced cars in the world.

The T-Prime Concept GTE was created under the leadership of Dr. candid Welsch, Member of the Board of Management for Technical progress Volkswagen Brand, and Klaus Bischoff, Head of Design at Volkswagen. “Our team has created a charismatic and sporty all-round vehicle with this SUV, which appeals with its impressive sense of presence and confident poise,” says Klaus Bischoff.

The concept vehicle’s progressive interior reflects the crave for the digital capabilities of a current era. It is, simply put, a lot of fun to absorb a world of displays and controls that consist exclusively of touchscreens, gesture and voice control, touch-sensitive surfaces and shifting “by wire” that can always live used intuitively. The vigorous Info panoply (interactive, digital instruments) and the screen of the infotainment system, which is curved for the first time in a vehicle, meld in the T-Prime Concept GTE to figure the Curved Interaction Area—a multifunctional and interactive panoply landscape.

“Very quickly,” says Dr. Welsch, “this type of human-machine interface could become the norm in the top segment. Progress is immediately lucid here, because the existent automobile is melding with the virtual world that is so existent today.” Meanwhile, an array of assistance systems ensures top levels of safety and convenience in the T-Prime Concept GTE. These systems contain numerous technologies, and they enable such processes as semi-autonomous parking.

Powertrain The concept car is powered by a 375 horsepower plug-in hybrid drive, incorporating an electric motor, turbocharged gas engine, and battery, which can permeate externally or during the drive. With a sufficiently charged battery (14.1 kWh energy capacity) this SUV—like total Volkswagen GTE cars—always starts in the practically silent electric E-Mode. It permits up to 31 miles of zero-emission driving in metropolitan areas. GTE mode forms an efficient alliance between the electric motor that is integrated into the housing of the 8-speed automatic gearbox and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine (TSI®). The electric motor develops a power of 134 hp and a maximum torque of 258 lb-ft; the TSI has an output of 248 hp and 273 lb-ft. In boosted GTE mode (kickdown), the plenary system power and an impressive 516 lb-ft of system torque are available. The T-Prime Concept GTE is equipped with 4MOTION® permanent all-wheel drive, which distributes power to the front and rear wheels via the limited-slip differential, which is likewise integrated into the 8-speed automatic gearbox.

In hybrid operation, such as when the high-voltage battery is flat, fuel consumption is 29 mpg in combined mode using energy from the charged battery, the combined fuel consumption in the NEDC cycle for plug-in hybrid models is 87 mpg. In GTE mode, the T-Prime Concept GTE accelerates to 60 in 6.0 seconds and has a top accelerate of 139 mph.

There are two different ways to externally permeate the lithium-ion battery of the T-Prime Concept GTE. In the conventional solution, the charging cable is plugged into a 220-volt outlet. From a completely flat state, the battery will fully permeate at a charging power of 3.6 kW in eight hours. It is likewise viable to “fuel up” at public charging stations at a power of 7.2 kW. Then the battery is fully charged after just two hours and 30 minutes.

The T-Prime Concept GTE can live driven in three different drive modes: E-Mode, Hybrid, and GTE. The system is designed so that the drive utilizes battery energy first, and so it starts off in E-Mode. While driving in E-Mode, the driver can intentionally activate the TSI and therefore the Hybrid mode by pressing the accelerator pedal beyond a defined pressure point. The driver can return to the zero-emission E-Mode via touchscreen at any time (provided that the battery noiseless has adequate charge); in this case, the all-wheel drive is likewise active. The GTE mode can likewise live activated via touchscreen. The driver brings out the most agile character of the SUV in this mode. The accelerator pedal, gearbox and steering characteristics are now even sportier. In boosted GTE mode, the TSI and the electric motor likewise travail together to access the plenary system power and maximum system torque. As soon as the driver releases the accelerator pedal, total drive sources are shut off and decoupled from the drivetrain, provided that the battery is sufficiently charged. In this figure of coasting; the electric motor operates as a generator and feeds the energy recovered from braking into the lithium-ion battery. In this case as well, the TSI is shut off and decoupled.

Exterior Models like the PHIDEON, which was presented early this year in Geneva and is now making its panoply debut in China, the charismatic second generation Tiguan, and the BUDD-e zero-emission van that attracted international attention, total illustrate just how multifarious Volkswagen design is today and will live in the future.

“With the current T-Prime Concept GTE, they are once again showcasing how Volkswagen can ideally master the whole purview of differentiation possibilities, even within the individual SUV model series,” says Klaus Bischoff. The chief designer continues: “On the one hand, this concept shows the genuine Volkswagen SUV design of the modern era; but at the identical time it takes entirely current approaches. A concise example is the chrome radiator grille that extends across the entire width of the front cessation and integrates the LED headlights. With this impressive ‘face’ they are creating an entirely new, iconic SUV product sub-brand.”

Another identifying design feature of future Volkswagen full-size SUVs are the opposing window and character lines. The window line begins in the hood and ends in the side window of the D-pillar at the rear. The so-called character line, meanwhile, begins in the rear lights, slices through the rear wheel arches with a razor-sharp undercut (an overhang drawn out from the sheet metal) and ends in the front wing. The two opposing lines lower the SUV’s visual headquarters of gravity and, as in a sports car, they figure athletic burly surfaces over the wheel arches, a clearly identifiable waist and a highly dynamic shoulder section.

Klaus Bischoff: “The roof line that descends towards the rear in a sporty style is likewise striking. This creates an unusually dynamic and yet elegant SUV. The overall radiance of the T-Prime Concept GTE makes it unmistakably lucid that it is playing in the top league.”

Technically, the T-Prime Concept GTE is based on the Group’s modular longitudinal platform (MLB); it covers full-size models with longitudinally mounted engines and gearboxes. The concept vehicle is 199.6 inches long. By means of comparison: the SUV is 0.4 inches longer than the first-generation Phaeton. This Volkswagen, which is equipped with two individual rear seats, has a width of 78.7 inches and is 67.2 inches tall. Balanced proportions, a very dynamic silhouette and an athletically tensed cadaver with pronounced shoulders together create an entirely current SUV dynamic.

At the front end, the large chrome radiator grille merges with the headlights and extends across the entire width of the body, which gives the T-Prime Concept GTE its unmistakable charisma. Typical of total Volkswagen plug-in hybrid and electric models are the C-shaped Daytime Running Lights in the front bumper.

The vehicle’s side profile displays sporty proportions with a long, extended bonnet and a matching extremely long roof section. likewise defining its style, are the opposing window and character lines and the flared wheel arches. The latter are filled out with large 22-inch alloy wheels and size 285/40 tires.

Wide rear shoulders taper towards the rear, forming a sporty rear cessation with maximum presence. The thin LED rear lights underscore the impressive overall width. The horizontally aligned rear has a clean and organized layout and the tailgate extends far into the bumper, which creates a low load sill.

Interior Anyone looking through the windows into the closed T-Prime Concept GTE discovers one aspect above total else: sporty and stylish urbanity and the horizontal orientation of its surfaces. A closer gawk reveals a mingle of chilly aluminum (surrounds, door handles), blue leather (upper piece of dashboard, door panels, steering wheel rim) and glossy-black surfaces (wing-shaped front side of dashboard, headquarters console, door accents and multifunction switch arrays on steering wheel). Forming a contrast are the warm color hues of the wood accents (wrapping around the dashboard and doors, propshaft tunnel trim) and other leather surfaces (seats, trims beneath wood accents). The interior is transformed into a mobile animate space in its interplay of colors and materials, perfected ergonomics (including individual seats in the rear) and a current operating aesthetic. In the T-Prime Concept GTE Volkswagen is presenting a animate automotive world whose atmosphere matches that of the connected, progressive, personal residence.

As soon as a door of the SUV concept is opened, the variety of functions of the digital interior reveals itself. The team of designers and engineers behind the car has exploited an break to create an entirely current concept of vehicle and infotainment control in the T-Prime Concept GTE, completely forgoing conventional switches. With the exception of the steering wheel stalks, total controls are implemented as touch-sensitive surfaces with white backlighting or—in the case of gearbox control—have been engineered to live completely current “by-wire solution.” A key feature of user operation is gesture control. Proximity sensors and voice control are likewise used throughout the vehicle.

Forming one visual and functional unit are the vigorous Info panoply (digitalized instruments) and the infotainment panoply (head unit). Located under a continuous, elegant glass surface, which is slightly curved—a world first in a vehicle—and aligned towards the driver for optimal ergonomics, they merge to figure the newly developed Curved Interaction Area. Spanning the zone in front of the driver like an arc, the Curved Interaction zone symbolizes the cockpit of the future—a future that will inaugurate at Volkswagen as early as 2017.

The current vigorous Info panoply of the T-Prime Concept GTE has a 12.0-inch screen. total indicators are virtually implemented in software—such as the power meter that is typical of a Volkswagen with a plug-in hybrid drive and, of course, the speedometer. In the middle, between these two round instruments, total imaginable information can live shown by thematic tiles. In Navigation mode, for instance, a 3D map panoply can live shown. Here the power meter and speedometer are relocated to the sides to figure more scope for the map display. Information such as navigation and assistance functions, phone contact images or the coverflow of the media library may live shown, depending on what is needed.

The curved home screen of the 15.0-inch infotainment head unit can live configured by the driver or front passenger. Here, three thematic tiles can live freely arranged on a defined screen grid or can live bundled. Users can fill a large main screen zone with a wide variety of content or menu levels, such as two smaller thematic sub-areas. Content includes the media library, weather data, voicemails or navigation instructions. In exactly the identical way, the individual thematic tiles of the vigorous Info panoply can live configured in the head unit first, and can then live moved to the digital instruments by a swiping motion. This is a current technological and intuitive type of user operation that is simply fun to use. The user can always press a home button located low and at the middle of the head unit to return to the top menu flush from any other menu. To the left and perquisite of the home button are capacitive control surfaces for climate control and for seat heating and seat ventilation.

Revolutionary features of the T-Prime Concept GTE comprehend “by wire” control of the gear shift unit for the 8-speed automatic gearbox on the headquarters console. This is implemented as an elegantly designed glass scroll wheel with a chrome compass that is fitted with sensors which enable intuitive operation of functions. Located in front of this glass scroll wheel is a panoply with a virtual scroll wheel—as soon as the driver operates the existent roller, the roller in the panoply turns accordingly. Implemented as touch-sensitive surfaces are the controls around the glass scroll wheel for the hazard warning lights, the Auto Hold function, starting and stopping the engine and the electric parking brake.

Another highlight is the multifunction steering wheel without switches. The smooth surface of the multifunctional areas exhaust handle feedback. The individual functions are activated by pressure or with a swipe gesture. When the surfaces are touched, the driver of the T-Prime Concept GTE gets handle feedback, or “pre-sensing”, which lets the driver locate the function. As soon as the driver activates the function, the control gives stronger tactile feedback.

A 9.6-inch panoply surface is likewise located between the two individual seats in the lounge-like rear seating area; it was integrated in the continuous surface of the headquarters console. From here, users can adjust climate controls and seat adjustments using touch-sensitive surfaces. A tablet (10.1-inch) snaps onto each backrest of the front seats. These tablets let rear passengers access total conceivable media library functions.

The color and materials of the T-Prime Concept GTE are based on water, earth, wood, metal, and fire, in tribute to Chinese lifestyle, where these five elements are inseparably intertwined. Water, the all-dissolving and flowing constituent is reflected in the petrol-blue cadaver paint color “Beihai Blue” (inspired by a beach on the South China Sea). Xirallic®—a cyan-colored substance with crystal effect pigments—makes the paint sparkle when viewed from above; meanwhile a profound sea blue is seen on the edges. The instrument panel and the back sides of the seats carry the exterior color scheme over into the interior with the turquoise blue leather color “Ipanema Blue”.

The earth is a solid constituent that brings everything into balance, and leather and Alcantara in the light-grey contrasting color “Mistral” create a visual effect of earth in the interior, including the seats. Wood is created by combining earth and water. Open-pored wood accents in “Walnut Trunk” figure it viable to visually tang this natural material very intensely. chilly metal as a shaping external obligate can live create in the polished and satin aluminum accents, both exterior and interior. Finally, the burning constituent of fire sets the scene; Volkswagen uses the gawk of fire for the leather piping on the seats in the color “Himalayan Brown.”

  • Reasons for Buying I bought this laptop for class and universal wireless use. Having a laptop in class allows me to type out total of my notes and wait connected wherever I am on campus. I needed a budget laptop, and this apt the bill quite nicely. I likewise wanted a laptop that I could exhaust around the apartment so I wouldn’t live tied to my desktop total the time. However, I quickly realized I began using my laptop quite a bit more than my desktop, and it eventually turned into my desktop replacement.

I select the laptop to campus everyday, and there are some shortcomings. Because the laptop has a 15.4″ screen, it’s relatively large. Unless you’re sitting at a table, don’t await to absorb any scope atop of your desk for anything other than your laptop.

My Acer TravelMate 4010 (4011WLCi) was purchased locally at Circuit City for $650 after rebate ($750 – $100 rebate) in the last week of August 2005. It was quite the deal at the time- as there are hardly other Centrino laptops under 700 dollars that could match the specs of this TravelMate. I likewise went through 3 of the laptops due to attribute issues, as discussed in the build attribute section.

The TravelMate is designed just like the many other laptops Acer produces. It features the 5 degree angled curve keyboard that the Acer Ferrari line possesses, which I find to live exceptional; however, the overall feel of the typing is not noticeably different than conventional laptop keyboards. It’s two toned- silver and black.

Acer TravelMate 4011 open (view larger image)

When closed, the laptop is fairly flush. The screen turns on when the panel is raised about 20 degrees up and can open to about 190 degrees. The LCD “turn off” button is located on the upper perquisite side between 2 of the hinges, and it is not easily accessible by the finger (although it is viable to press it down with skinny fingers).

Beneath the laptop, the cessation user has access to the Battery, RAM, HDD, CPU and HSF, and the mini-PCI slot.

Acer TravelMate 4011 underside (view larger image)

There are 4 launch buttons above and to the perquisite of the keyboard: E-Mail, WWW, Empowering Technology (Acer settings), and Launch Manager. total 4 launch buttons can live customized to sprint any application, file, or web address, along with custom OSD labels.

To the perquisite of the launch buttons is the power button, which lights up green when the system is on. To the left of the launch buttons are 3 status LEDs. The left most is Caps Lock, the middle is Num Lock, and the perquisite most is HDD activity.

Launch buttons on the top perquisite side of the keyboard zone (view larger image)

The touchpad is centered on the bottom edge of the laptop and has a 4-way scroll button, along with equally sized left and perquisite click buttons.

Above and to the left of the keyboard is the onboard microphone, which works well.

On the front cessation of the laptop, you absorb the left and perquisite speakers on the left and perquisite most edges, respectively.

Moving inward from the left, you absorb a blocked of infrared port. Yes, that’s right. There is no actual IR Receiver, but the cutout is there. This is because Acer uses the identical chassis for higher cessation models, which absorb an IR receiver. It is quite annoying.

Further left, they absorb 2 LEDs. The first is the power status LED, which is green when on and red when in standby, and the second is the charging status LED, which lights up yellow when charging and green when fully charged.

Continuing left, they absorb 2 button/LEDs. The left is to toggle the power of the Bluetooth chip, which does not exist in the laptop. But once again, since this chassis is used in other models, they left it in. Pressing the button actually results in epigram “No Device” on the OSD, so the button is wired in correctly. One would assume if they added in Bluetooth via the mini-PCI slot, it would inaugurate to function, and presumably light up blue. The other LED, which lights up red, toggles the WiFi power. It blinks red when connecting, and stays red when connected, and off otherwise.

Moving along, they absorb 3 audio ports. The first is the Line In, second is Mic In, and third is the Line Out/Head Phone.

Finally, they cessation on a single USB 2.0 port.

Front view of laptop (view larger image)

The left side of the laptop houses the “removable” optical bay. At first glance, one would assume it’s removable, since it looks like it could easily slide out, but on second glance, one will remark that once again, they absorb a lop out for a dwelling where one could release the optical bay. So the only course to remove it is to select apart the laptop (not completely, of course).

Left view of laptop (view larger image)

On the perquisite side of the laptop, starting from the left, they remark another cutout for a mini FireWire port that does not exist. touching along, they remark the type II PCMCIA PC Card Slot. Above that, they remark a nice dwelling for say, a multimedia card reader! But once again, they only remark a blocked off piece of plastic. touching along they absorb twin USB 2.0 ports, followed by a cutout of what you would assume to live an S-Video port. That’s right; this has no TV-out. Further along, they absorb the RJ45 LAN jack and the RJ11 Modem jack. They finish with the HSF vent, which blows out warm air whenever the fan is on.

Right side view of laptop (view larger image)

The back side of the laptop houses the battery, VGA out, and security lock. The battery has both a release and lock lever, and feels very secure in dwelling when locked. (And in case you’re interested, when you select apart the zone around the VGA port, you guessed it, there’s a cutout for a DVI port!).

    Build Quality

Before I continue, let me relate you I’m on my third TravelMate, and this is the best in terms of quality. My first one I picked up was faulty. When I closed the screen, it would BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and the picture would scramble (and if anyone cares, it had Samsung ICs on the RAM). Also, the screen hinge wasn’t as tight as my current one is.

After exchanging it for a current one the problem was fixed, and over all, the laptop wasn’t bad. But after about 3 days, my space bar started “squeaking.” I popped it off, reserve it back, and the problem was fixed, until the next day when it squeaked again. I once again popped it off, tried putting it back on, and noticed one of the plastics tabs had broken, so although the space bar could vanish back on, it was a lot more “wobbly.” Now I’m not going failing this one on Acer- but I can relate you I’ve popped off a lot of space bars, and this is the first one to go.

After convincing Circuit City to give me another one, I noticed something pleasantly odd about the third one. The palm comfort zone (left and perquisite side of the handle pad) was quite a bit sturdier. Before, I could flex that zone down quite a bit, but now I can’t. To my surprise, there is a layer of thick foam under the palm rest- something that wasn’t there in my previous two TravelMates. How did I find this out, you ask? The PC Card slot “flap” would not vanish down! I had to exert quite a bit of obligate to figure it vanish down (as if I was inserting a card), and when I finally got it down, you can clearly remark the foam above it. Then as I release the flap, you guessed it, it would not return total the course up because it was stuck on foam. I kid you not. Of course I was able to finally obligate it up, but I was ready to vanish back to Circuit City, but I was reluctant because I would never live able to find a deal like this again. Plus, the palm rests are a lot sturdier now.

With that being said, this laptop is both a “flexer” and a “wobbler.” Yes, the screen wobbles like no other. Now the hinges them self don’t move- in fact, you requisite to exert quite a bit of obligate to change the overall tilt of the panel, but give it a slight shove on the top headquarters piece of the screen, and watch it yo-yo back and forth slower and slower over a term of 5 seconds.

The keyboard has a slight flex to I when pressed down, but nothing that would influence your typing, but annoying notabit the less. The black zone above the keyboard (in line with the launch buttons) flexes down quite a bit with some pressure. As mentioned, the palm comfort zone is quite sturdy. Beneath the laptop, you can easily flex it some areas, mainly the removable compartments.

The hinges are made of cheap plastic, and they feel the identical way. They can lag vertically quite a bit, and if your shirt gets stuck on it, chances are the hinge will burst off before your laptop moves with it.

When closed, you can press down the front screen edges to figure it handle the bottom portion of the laptop, but the headquarters is firmly touching. On the back cessation where the hinges are, you can press down that zone as well, because the hinges absorb some give. I don’t know if this is due to poor build attribute or if it’s a feature. The hinges are surrounded by plastic. I will likewise articulate the screws around the hinges could live screwed in quite a bit more than how they were shipped.

Twisting the screen does not yield any ripples and neither does putting pressure on the back side of the panel (however, with a reasonable amount of force, you can figure it happen, but nothing like some HPs and Dells I’ve seen, where you can figure the entire screen ripple).

However, one thing that doesn’t look too well designed is the back side of the LCD panel. Although it’s difficult to score ripples to show, due to its slight convex shape, you can flex down the outer plastic. I’ve purposely sat on the laptop closed, and nothing broke, so you shouldn’t live too worried.

Holding the laptop by one of the corners produces no creaks or flex, but you can really relate the laptop is under a lot of tension in this position.

The touchpad and respective buttons are total fine.

    Keyboard and Touchpad

As mentioned above, the keyboard has the 5 degree tilt to it that many other Acer notebooks have. Overall, this doesn’t figure any incompatibility in my typing than a conventional laptop keyboard. The comfort of it is basically standard, with the exception of the Euro and Dollar symbol to the left and perquisite of the up arrow key, respectively.

Keyboard and touchpad view (view larger image)

The handle pad feel quite nice: smooth enough to current easily, but it has enough friction for precise control. The left and perquisite mouse buttons are pretty standard as well, and they yield a noticeable click when pressed. The four course scroll button works as expected as well, likewise producing a noticeable click sound when pressed (and thus causes annoyances in class- but don’t score me wrong, it’s not that loud; it’s about the identical as a traditional mouse click sound). The touchpad is built by Synaptics, and through the drivers, you can configure many settings, including a virtual side and virtual scroll area.

    Screen and Speakers

The screen is a 15.4″ Widescreen WXGA+ LCD at resolution of 1280 x 800. Although I could not find the exact specs for this LCD panel, I can relate you that the response time isn’t bad, as “ghosting” is on par with my 16ms Acer LCD. Contrast and brightness are total acceptable by today’s standards, and it is even through out, with no lucid “bleeding” on the edges. However, the viewing angle isn’t that great, but on par with most other current (non “bright view”) laptops. My laptop came with no dead pixels.

    Screen off (view larger image)

Screen displaying total white (view larger image)

Screen displaying total black (view larger image)

Screen displaying color (view larger image)

Above you can compare the contrast when the screen is off, black, white, or colorful.

Audio is powered by the current Conexant AMC chipset, which serves its purpose. The over total attribute is once again on par with most other laptop speakers, and it can score earsplitting enough to fill a minute room. Overall, they’re not bad. Sound from the headphone jack is about the identical as from the headphone jack on my external USB SoundBlaster Live and rotating the plug around does not yield any static.

Performance The laptop is Centrino certified, import it includes the Intel i855 (GM/GME) chipset, along with the Intel Pentium M 725 1.60GHz 400MHz FSB 2MB Cache Dothan core processor. The arduous drive is only 4200RPM with 2MB cache, and it really degrades the overall system performance, and it is quite lucid from my tests that it is the limiting factor in boot and application load times. 512MB of RAM comes equipped at the timings of CAS 2.5 — 3 — 3 — 7. It likewise comes with Mobile Intel Extreme 2 Graphics, which dynamically shares 64MB of memory.

The overall video performance is what you’d await from an Intel Extreme graphics chipsets. It’s fine for everyday travail and photo editing, but don’t await to play anything more demanding than the Quake III Arena engine. This laptop can play Quake III Arena at total the lowest attribute settings, but at its indigenous resolution of WXGA+ at around an unconcerned of 100FPS. At XGA resolutions, a constant 125FPS can live achieved, even at medium attribute settings.

System boot time will vary from system from system, but from power on to getting to Google takes my system 33 seconds. The ACER POST takes about 2 seconds, which is followed by the Windows XP boot process.

CPU performance is excellent, as are total Dothan based Pentium M’s. Best course to narrate it is by giving you the numbers. On battery power, you can configure it to sprint at 600MHz or 1600MHz.

Although laptop overclocking isn’t very popular, this TravelMate can overclock quite nicely. Laptop overclocking is just like desktop overclocking, except they are much more limited in the variables they can change. On most Centrino laptops, you only absorb access to adjust the FSB, multiplier (lower only), and occasionally, the RAM Timings. You absorb no control over the CPU VCore or VDimm.

The RAM:FSB ratio is locked at 5:3, and the AGP/PCI clock can not live locked at 66/33MHz. Therefore, increasing the FSB will overclock both the RAM and the AGP/PCI clock.

My RAM won’t vanish any lower than 2.5-3-3-7 at the stock 166MHz (DDR333) speed, so I left it as that. They can only lower the multiplier, so initially I left it at the stock 16x.

So that leaves us with traditional FSB overclocking. The stock FSB on this Centrino laptop is 100MHz. First I had to find out what clock generator I had so I could download the perquisite Clockgen (which I did by ordeal and error, and whichever gave me the amend initial readings). I absorb the CG-CY28346 clock generator, and I used SetFSB (ClockGen would always occasions BSODs at higher FSBs for some peculiar reason), the ThinkPad X31 version.

So now the process is quite simple; just expand the FSB and measure stability. Since the AGP/PCI clock isn’t locked, when you hit around 115MHz, you lose onboard sound. Simply restoring the FSB back to 100MHz will restore the sound, and if it doesn’t, a simpl reboot will (I absorb an external USB Sound Blaster which continues to work). My laptop is prime stable for over 8hrs (no errors/warnings, stopped at 8hrs) at 127MHz FSB, which results in a 16x127MHz = 2.032GHz CPU, and a RAM accelerate of 208MHz (DDR416).

The load temperature increased from 61 degrees to about 68 degrees Celsius, while the idle temp stayed consistent around 51 degrees. Below are the benchmarks at 2.032GHz.

Increasing the FSB to 128MHz will result in the LCD to flicker, and going to 129MHz dramatically decreases its stability and 130MHz and on will usually result it distorted panoply followed by a BSOD.

I always absorb my laptop overclocked when on AC power, and it’s but doing quite nicely. You can sprint it overclocked in battery mode without problems, both at 16x and 6x multipliers. However, the battery drains about 20% faster compared to 100MHz FSB.

The TravelMate comes with the Intel PROSet 2200BG 802.11b/g compliant mini-PCI wireless card. Acer cleverly located the antenna behind the LCD so that it’s not blocked off by any components. Acer calls this their BLALHALAH. I would articulate it gets only a slightly stronger signal than my friends who absorb the identical chipset in their Toshiba or HP, but in practical use, you will probably not live able to score a usable signal if other WiFi devices can’t.

    Battery life

Battery life of the TravelMate is quite good, and the best course to narrate is to simply give you the numbers. total of these numbers are while the laptop is in use, either typing on MS Word or surfing the net if connected.

Lowest Brightness, 600MHz, LAN OFF, WiFi OFF, CardBus OFF: 3h 04mLowest Brightness, 600MHz, LAN OFF, WiFi ON, CardBus OFF: 2h 38m

Medium Brightness, 600MHz, LAN OFF, WiFi ON, CardBus OFF: 2h 19mMedium Brightness, 1600MHz, LAN OFF, WiFi ON, CardBus OFF: 1h 48mMedium Brightness, 1600MHz, LAN ON, WiFi OFF, CardBus OFF: 1h 49m

High Brightness, 1600MHz, LAN OFF, WiFi ON, CardBus OFF: 1h 36mHigh Brightness, 1600MHz, LAN ON, WiFi OFF, CardBus OFF: 1h 38m

Leaving the system on standby takes about 5% battery life for every hour.

    Operating System and Software

The system comes preinstalled with Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2, along with total the necessary drivers and Acer software. Upon turning it on and setting it up, it prompts you to burn a Backup Recovery CD. However, there is a 3GB hidden partition which can live activated via the POST process to restore the system to factory defaults. The system comes formatted with 3 partitions: 1 hidden Acer recovery partition and 2 equal FAT32 partitions, one for the OS (C:) and one for storage (D:).

The Acer software is among the best I’ve seen for any laptop and desktop for that matter. The Empowering Technology suite has a host of power management features. You can create custom profiles that control the delays for screen off, arduous disk off, stand by, brightness, and CPU speed. It likewise reports an accurate reading for percentage and time left of the battery on power and with Standby time left.

Acer Software power management application (view larger image)

Along with power management settings, you absorb total the system information you would want, along with total the BIOS options readily available to read and alter in Windows. There is likewise a Multi-monitor (projector) settings program.

    Customer Support

I absorb yet to tang Acer Technical Support, as any problems I had initially were resolved with the retailer. I have, however, read on the forums that they attain provide exceptional support. The Acer’s International Traveler’s Warranty should likewise live a plus for those who requisite support out of the country.

All in all, this is a fine laptop for the price. Despite some of the issues I absorb with the build attribute and the initial problems I had when purchasing the laptop, it seems to live worth every dollar, and I like the overclock abilities this laptop possesses.

  • Great Price
  • Great overclocking
  • Nice screen

High Performance Blockchain — Fundamentals | existent questions and Pass4sure dumps

Blockchain technology is a phenomenon of the last decade and it gained a lot of attention, especially in late 2017 and early 2018. Most people absorb already at least heard of Bitcoin, but blockchain technology is much more than Bitcoin. There are thousands of cryptocurrencies and their exhaust cases are far beyond just transferring value. For fine or bad, death rate within this current emerging industry is massive and many of these cryptocurrencies won’t live around in few years time.

This text was written to give you a deeper understanding of fundamentals that are not only going to attend HPB survive this stand market, but they will likewise figure HPB thrive in the next bullrun.

    The problem and the solution

As you probably know, the blockchain industry has been plagued with a low Transactions Per Second (TPS) bottleneck. Everyone who’s been around for a while remembers when CryptoKitties congested the most current smart condense platform Ethereum to the point where it became pretty much unusable and I assume this made many people realize how far from readiness for mass adoption blockchain technology actually is.

Different projects select different paths to tackle this bottleneck. Some decided to expand their performance by significantly lowering the number of nodes, some are trying to resolve this on a software level, for example by implementation of sharding. One thing these projects absorb in common is that total of them exhaust conventional hardware that was not designed for running blockchain, and this is where HPB differs.

HPB is a product of HPB Foundation and Shanghai Zhaoxi Network Co., Ltd. Zhaoxi is an innovative blockchain technology research and progress company founded in 2014 by Xiaoming Wang. They are taking a very unique approach to tackling the TPS bottleneck to equilibrium the blockchain trilemma — how to live fast enough to enable mass adoption but not at the expense of decentralization and (thus) security. HPB has a permissionless blockchain architecture that combines customized open-source hardware (the BOE, or Blockchain Offload Engine) with lofty Performance Blockchain software. If you recollect how ASIC miners changed BTC mining, or how GPUs changed the gaming industry, you might likely near to the conclusion that creating a dedicated hardware is a very analytic step to select for the whole industry. Even internet accelerate was vastly increased thanks to hardware advancements such as ADSL or fiber optics. HPB is the first player in the market that has successfully designed and manufactured hardware dedicated to enhance blockchain transaction speed.

Blockchain Offload Engine — picture from “Le Phantome” node. BOE unboxing video - BOE HARDWARE

Part of the BOE is the ECDSA (Ecliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) module that performs signature verification at lofty rate and is essential for the network to live able to process thousands of signatures per second.

The BOE has an in-built hardware random number generator to protect transactions and expand security. Any malicious actors on the network would absorb to overcome not only software, but likewise the hardware piece of the network. Blockchain data is already well protected, but this component adds another layer of security for HPB.

Other parts of the BOE are the MAC module that handles processing of data packets transferred from Ethernet cables and the TCP/IP Offload engine (TOE), which optimizes throughput for high-speed Ethernet systems.

As the title of the hardware indicates, its purpose is to offload CPU load from the node servers. At the BOE Launch and betray event in July 2018 there was a live test of two identical servers — one with the BOE hardware unit and one without. The non-BOE server took 40 seconds using 76% of CPU to process 200,000 inspection data. The one with the BOE took 8 seconds to process the identical amount of data, using only 5% of the CPU. That’s 5 times faster while using only a fraction of CPU! You can remark this test at 48th minute of BOE launch and betray event video (link at the cessation of the article).

Using BOE hardware has another significant advantage. Some other projects very often exhaust VPS services to host their nodes, which adds another layer of centralisation because sometimes too many nodes exhaust the identical VPS service (EOS nodes most often exhaust AWS for example), and if a VPS provider has some issues, then many nodes using it absorb issues as well. Also, once the network reaches higher constant TPS, nodes will requisite to rent more CPU, resulting in much more energy consumption and thus much higher costs.

HPB nodes are much more energy efficient and less costly because vast majority of the CPU load is performed by the BOE unit itself. Furthermore, total HPB nodes are obligated to exhaust the BOE hardware, which means they can’t exhaust VPS service and that makes the network more decentralised.

To further optimize the network performance, HPB is using a dedicated HPB server network instead of universal one.

The HPB MainNet went live in late September 2018 and is currently sprint by 150 nodes. Thanks to the BOE hardware, the network is capable of achieving more than 5,000 TPS globally and 10,000 TPS within China, where most nodes are located. This makes HPB faster and much more decentralised and secure than many competitors that are sprint by only a fraction of the nodes that HPB has.

Even though current TPS is already incredible, the team has a device to expand the performance soon: “In the coming months they will expand their TPS through a multi-step approach. First, they will further enhance parallel processing of transactions by optimizing the organization of data in the transaction pool. Secondly, they will effect network protocol optimizations to streamline network traffic. Thirdly, they will design a current virtual machine that runs on their BOE.”

Picture made by “Le Phantome” node HPB TEAM

HPB has a team of over 60 full-time employees and developers who profit from having tang in huge companies such as IBM, Alibaba, Huawei, UnionPay and others. I won’t vanish much into detail since you can check yourself on the HPB website, but I attain want to briefly interpolate the CEO — Xiaoming Wang.

Xiaoming Wang has over 10 years of tang in finance and astronomical data. He is one of the founders of UnionPay Smart — the astronomical data division of the largest payment processor in the world, UnionPay. I will near back to this later in the article. He is a blockchain pioneer, who is very well known as Blue Lotus among the Chinese blockchain community. He’s been lecturing in Asia about the advantages and exhaust cases of blockchain technology for years. He was the person who wrote the Chinese version of Ethereum’s official document, he wrote a progression of books including a “Blockchain developer guide” and many scientific articles about blockchain. In March 2018 he received the “Most innovative CEO” award at the 4th annual Blockchain Finance and Fintech China event. If you gawk at the attendees and partners of this conference, it seems like a decent award to receive.

HPB is a highly flexible project

It should not near to you as a surprise, after what you’ve just read about the CEO, that HPB is in many ways similar to Ethereum. The source code is 80–90% based on ETH, it uses Go-ethereum and HPB likewise adopted a similar gas/fee system to ETH. This might live just a coincidence or a very pragmatic step. Ethereum has one of the largest developer communities, and since Ethereum is open-source and software parts of the two projects are similar, any software solution adopted by ETH should not live arduous to implement on HPB with slight modifications if needed or desired.

There are likewise some differences though. HPB is an open-source permissionless blockchain, so anyone is free to select piece in the network and deploy smart contracts, from minute startups to large international companies, but unlike ETH, HPB doesn’t exhaust its own dedicated language. It supports smart condense systems to facilitate smooth integration of the existing developer ecosystem. The base layer of the blockchain provides a progression of blockchain data access and interaction interfaces by using JSON-RPC & RESTful API to support various data applications and progress languages. Developers will live able to exhaust any type of mainstream programming languages such as JAVA, Python, .NET, JavaScript, C+ etc, so the barrier to entry is low as there is no requisite for developers to learn current dedicated programming language. Currently, HPB developers can exhaust Java and other languages are being worked on. As more and more smart contracts are written and executed, a resilient portfolio of templates for businesses to exhaust will live created.

HPB supports the universal Virtual Machine (GVM) mechanism. This GVM likewise supports code from other blockhains, allowing for greater flexibility. Currently Ethereum VM and NEO VM are supported and HPB is capable of adding current VMs as needed through its modular design. This basically means that dapps on ETH or NEO can interact with HPB should they sprint into scenarios requiring lofty performance.

HPB is working on their Blockchain middleware project, which is currently being tested by Chinese community Fupin.

The HPB community only create out recently that HPB supports sidechains. This means for example that core technological and/or software updates can live tested on a sidechain prior to public release. HPB is likewise offering BaaS (Blockchain as a Service), providing cessation to cessation solutions and consulting for enterprises that want to select advantage of of blockchain technology for their business.

HPB generally takes very wide and holistic approach towards blockchain industry. The team recognises that different entities absorb different needs and motivations. A game developer has very different priorities than a fiscal institution for example. While a game developer might delightin developing his game on a public blockchain, fiscal institution might not live tickled with total their data being stored on a public ledger. HPB takes a hybrid approach where it works as a public blockchain platform where anyone can near and build their dapps but at the identical time they can compass partners or developers that want more liberty in terms of their consensus algorithm, privacy etc through their BaaS offering and side chains. This allows HPB to build massive ecosystem with many different entities that can easily and safely interact and exchange data between each other

Use cases of HPB are endless since performance is not an issue, but the whitepaper mentions mainly astronomical data, gaming and anti-counterfeiting traceability.

    Node system and consensus algorithm

The number of nodes that sprint HPB network is 150, of which 31 are lofty Performance Nodes and the comfort are Candidate Nodes. The number of nodes will expand to 300 in the future, of which 61 will live lofty Performance Nodes and the comfort are Candidate nodes. HP nodes are answerable for synchronization and shroud generation while Candidate Nodes process transactions. The algorithm rotates the nodes and any Candidate Node can become an HP node at any time.

The shroud rewards are distributed as followed:

2/3 of the shroud rewards are allocated to HP-Node that generated a current shroud and total CandidateNodes. For each shroud generated, the HP-Node answerable for the shroud generation receives 35% of the shroud reward, and total other Candidate-Nodes evenly divide the remaining 65% of the shroud rewards.

1/3 of the shroud rewards is allocated according to the balance of community votes that total BOE-Nodes obtained.

Minimum node requirements. Source: HPB node plan 2.0

    Node allocation:

70% of nodes are decided by voting, 6% of nodes are sprint by the HPB foundation and 24% of nodes are issued by invitation (Enterprises that can easily deploy dapps and serve target users; Academic institutions; Developers; Non profit organizations..). Some of invited nodes are currently: Tianshu Society — an organization of the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications; The Distributed quick-witted System Laboratory of Shanghai Jiaotong University or Bixin. total invitees will live contributing to R&D of the network.

Another aspect that makes HPB unique is that it adopts its own consensus algorithm — Proof of Performance. This algorithm takes into account three key factors when choosing an HP node: network bandwidth (50% weight), ranking of community voting (35% weight) and number of HPB coins held (15% weight). This course total nodes are incentivized to add as much performance to the network as possible.

HPB adopts an inflationary system. Current inflation is capped at 3% of the initial token supply and once another 150 nodes are added, it will expand to 6% of initial token supply. Fixing the maximum inflation rate to initial token supply means that the existent inflation will actually dwindle each year.

Node map from cessation of 2018. There are currently 18 nodes from outside Asia region. HPB Coin

HPB coin is the fuel of the whole HPB ecosystem. Some of the exhaust cases are:

    - It is needed by developers to issue smart contracts- It is used as gas for transactions- current projects can hold HPB and launch ICOs to raise funds- current partners, businesses or dapps requisite to hold HPB coins to create their side chain or access Blockchain-as-a-Service offering- Coin holders can vote for nodes and influence the course the network is governed- Nodes likewise requisite to hold HPB coins, whereas the more they hold, the higher their casual to become HP-node and receive higher shroud rewards.- Initial coin supply is 100,000,000 HPB.

Coin allocation according to HPB whitepaper. PARTNERSHIPS

    UnionPay Smart

This is where it’s getting really interesting. recollect the company founded by HPB’s CEO that handles the astronomical data of the largest payment processor in the world? Yes, UnionPay Smart. To give you an conception what UnionPay is and how insanely astronomical it is — UnionPay is something like Visa or MasterCard, but it is bigger than both of them combined. It processes about 80% of total transactions in China with annual turnover about 80 trillion Yuan! Well, guess what blockchain they are going to exhaust for their astronomical data authorization and traceability dapp? HPB! This is possibly one of the biggest partnerships in crypto space.

One of the speakers at the BOE acceleration engine launch and betray event in July 2018 was the COO of UnionPay Smart, who described the issues and challenges astronomical data faces nowadays. These are primarily: privacy leaks, revenue generated without user consent, identity fraud, and adapting to the current GDPR standard. He describes total these points in more detail during his speech. You will find the link to the subtitled video at the cessation of this text. He likewise called HPB “the most pragmatic blockchain”.

“We absorb completed the base blockchain infrastructure and developed an early-stage beta system that can extract and process data from legal documents. Key outstanding tasks includes transforming different types of legal documents into a standardised set of smart contracts and developing a front-end user interface, which is convenient to exhaust for total stakeholders.” — from the latest update on UnionPay Smart dapp.

    SME Finance forum

This is another partnership with a major fiscal institution. HPB has become a member in the SME finance forum in the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank group. IFC, a sister organization of the World Bank, is the largest global progress institution focused exclusively on the private sector in developing countries. The SME Finance Forum works to expand access to finance for minute and medium businesses. It operates a global membership network that brings together fiscal institutions, technology companies and progress fiscal institutions to partake erudition and promote growth of SMEs (Small to Medium Enterprises). Globally, SMEs account for 9 of 10 businesses, 50% of world GDP and two thirds of world jobs. Zhaoxi will select dwelling in member working groups and build its erudition of SME financing through member assignation and Forum events. Through this partnership, HPB is linked to global policy-making networks such as the World Economic Forum, G20, OECD, APEC and AFI. “200 million businesses worldwide requisite financing to invest, grow and create current jobs. They are haughty to absorb Zhaoxi unite their network of 140 members who travail to expand access to finance for minute and medium businesses,” — Matthew Gamser, CEO of the Forum.

“Partnering with the SME Finance Forum allows us to effectively position ourselves to develop blockchain infrastructure for SMEs. They are excited to learn from other members and explore opportunities throughout SME financing together,” said Xiaoming Wang, Founder and CEO of Zhaoxi.

You can find HPB on the memberlist on the SME official webpage, I will reserve you link at the cessation of the text. I assume membership in such an institution gives HPB a lot of credibility and it will open many doors to potential partners.

This is another huge partnership for HPB. is a venture of gaming industry giant To give you an conception how huge Laya is, here are some facts from their recent exam questions mp;A:

  • By August 31st 2018, they there are already 367262 Laya developers, and more than 140 thousands of Monthly Activity developers. Laya engine is the fastest growing H5 engine in china.
  • According to a survey in August 2018, 70% of the listed game companies in China, including 7 Tencent, NetEase, 37wan, Xiaomi, Cheetah and OurPalm, etc. total are using LAYA.ONE’s engine.
  • LAYA.ONE’s core engine(Laya.Air Game engine), is so far the only fully developed H5 3D technology. According to the statistics, there are 22 3D games on WeChat, 20 of which are developed with Laya.Air
  • Since 2014, there absorb been more than 10 thousands games created on Laya engine and now more than 20 being developed on LAYA.ONE.
  • For technical and market reasons, 80–90% of HTML5 games worldwide absorb been developed in China
  • Now you know how astronomical they are, the point is that will live using HPB and its corresponding BOE engine to bolster their digital signature processes. The digital signatures ensure and identify each players’ identity and relevant assets. The current system uses the CPU of the system server to execute signature verifications. As you already know, HPB can offload the travail onto the BOE and significantly improve verification accelerate and thus network performance. As the whole platform will live open-source, the game logic (such as chance-based events, rarity of items etc) is lucid to total users, total items are owned by players and stored safely on the blockchain and total trading is traceable. total these features bringing gaming tang to another level.

It’s impartial to articulate that Laya doesn’t absorb a partnership exclusively with HPB. Their absolute blockchain will live connected to other blockchains such as ETH, EOS or NEO for example.

Other partners of HPB comprehend NEO (angel investor), Nebulas, BitShares, Okex, Bixin, Pchain, Bottos, Oath Protocol, Coinbucks, InVault, Atlas Protocol and many more.

It is likewise worth noting here that HPB has already set up their first international dev incubator in Crypto Valley in Switzerland. Switzerland is one of most, if not the most, pro-crypto nations in Europe, it is a dwelling to live for any blockchain project that aims to succeed on a global scale and Crypto Valley is the fastest growing tech-hub in Europe.

Infographics of partners from FluidFlow. Other facts and information about HPB

HPB is ahead of its initial roadmap since the MainNet was meant to live released in 2019.

BOE hardware is currently configured to travail only at 50–60% of it's plenary capacity.

HPB was awarded “Hurun blockchain innovators TOP 50 projects” award. They likewise received the “Blockchain infrastracture with most potential 2017” award at the fiscal Technology Introduction awards.

Marketing-wise, HPB didn’t participate in crazy altcoin bull sprint in early 2018. When I create out about HPB in late Feb/early March, there were literally two videos about HPB on Youtube and generally very limited content to find for English speaking people. The HPB team always said that marketing will start only after their product is up and running smoothly. As a result, most of the crypto space is unaware of HPB's actuality and the community is pretty minute compared to other projects.

Well, the product is up and running now and they are starting to remark the first marketing initiatives from the team. Danny Rowshandel mentioned in his interview with Brad Laurie that 2019 is where HPB wants to figure a marketing shove in key areas where they believe they can score a solid marketshare.

As this stand market lasts longer than many expected, they start seeing projects running out of money and cutting their operations. Not the case for HPB. HPB, on top of $8–10 million from ICO, received $10 million in private investment from OKex and other strategic partners in April 2018. According to Danny Rowshandel, Managing Director of International trade of HPB, HPB has enough funds to vanish another 2–3 years.

HPB takes global warming seriously. They made a minor adjustment and replaced the fan of BOE unit with an energy efficient sustainable heat sink to figure nodes more eco-friendly.

An approximate energy consumption of one HPB node is only about 25.2kWh per week or 1310.4 kWh/year (data provided by “Lunar Node” after 4 months of running HPB node).

HPB shared a sneak peak of the CEO Xiaoming Wang working on what appears to live a “quad-BOE”. In one of early bi-weekly reports the team announced that TPS linearly increases with the number of BOE units on the board. Releasing “quad-BOE” would therefore significantly expand TPS performance, but there’s no requisite for that now. It will select a fine brace of years to compass the current 5000 TPS potential on a regular basis. The BOE hardware is already giving HPB huge advantage over “software-only” projects and this advantage will live even more significant in future.

That’s it from me. I believe you absorb total the major information about lofty Performance Blockchain now. I kindly invite you to attain your own research on this projects as you will find there is much more than what you’ve just read.
